Road to Ninja is the 6th movie of the Naruto Shippuden series. The movie was released back in 2014. This movie focused on, what if Naruto had his parents alive and all the different variables that come with it. As we see in this movie, the characters that we know have very different personalities.

The movie starts with a set where we see the Leaf ninja has an encounter with all the dead Akatsuki Ninjas. While they succeded to fend off the enemies, one of the enemies who looks and acts like Kakuzu grabs Naruto’s legs and while trying to pull him underground, leaves a mark on his legs.

As we see later, Obito comes back to the village following that mark and puts Naruto and Sakura, who was with him at that time in a temporary Tsukyomi type Genjutsu using an Orb.

And the whole movie starts inside that Genjutsu.

For those of us Minato fans, the Road to ninja movie is like a treat, as it shows a little bit of him in action. And not to mention our boy Naruto with his family. A family that he never had, seeing him enjoying time with them really will put a smile on your face. If you haven’t seen this movie, I recommend you to watch it, as a fellow Naruto fan.

This movie takes place after 2 years of the Fourth Great Ninja War. After the allied shinobi force defeated the enemies- a hundred thousand Zetsu, Obito, Madara, Kabuto, and Kaguya, the long-awaited peace has come to the shinobi world. As we see, Naruto is a more mature character compared to what we are used to seeing.

The main story unfolds as a mysterious character enters the village all of a sudden and injuries Hinata and tries to kidnap her. His name is Toneri Otsutsuki. While Naruto rescues her, later Toneri kidnaps Hinata’s younger sister Hanabi Hyuga because of her Byakugan.

The main story of the movie begins as the leaf village dispatch a 5 man team consisting of Naruto, Hinata, Sakura, Sai, Shikamaru. 6th Hokage Kakashi personally briefed them and told them every detail of the mission.

This movie brings Naruto and Hinata closer together at the end of the movie. So, the movie is basically to help the idea of making Naruto and Hinata a couple. Well, to be honest, they have always shown and given hints numerous times about how Hinata had a crush on Naruto, especially in the Pain Arc.

When to watch Naruto The Last?

To watch the movie, you have to watch 493 episodes of Naruto Shippuden. Well, you can also watch it after you finish the series fully. However, the timeline that this movie takes place is somewhere between 493 and 494 episodes of Shippuden. So, watching it after 493 is the ideal time to watch it.

11. Boruto: Naruto the Movie

Release Date: August 7, 2015
Running Time: 96 minutes
Box Office: US$39.5 million
MyAnimeList Rating: 7.4/10
IMDB Rating: 7.9/10

Boruto movie is basically the continuation of the Naruto Shippuden series. You will get a clear idea about how the Boruto series is going to be by watching this movie.

It has a clear orientation of all the important characters of the Boruto series, how the village is progressing, who the actual villain of this series is going to be, and most importantly our boy Naruto acting as a Hokage.

Tell me honestly, how long have we waited to see our boy achieving his dream? 720 episodes and 10 movies to be exact, right?

The main story unfolds the Chunin exam arc. And we get a glimpse of the new generation’s prowess, idealism, dreams, and hopes and how their parents’ dreams affected them. And just like the old school Naruto (2002) series, in the Boruto movie, the Chunin exam also gets interrupted by enemies who try to take the Hokage hostage.

However, here in Boruto movie, the villain Momoshiki Otsutsuki is much more powerful than Orochimaru.

So, what happens next? We are not going to spoil you with the movie. You have to watch and enjoy it for yourself.

When to watch Boruto: Naruto The Movie?

The story is 12 years after Naruto Shippuden. So, you have to watch this movie once you finish Naruto Shippuden. It is actually a gateway for Boruto: Naruto Next Generation series. Even if you have no interest in the Boruto series, do give it a watch. Just to see our boy Naruto as a Hokage alone is a treat for the Naruto fanbase, I tell you.

Conclusion

We have told you all that you need to know before watching the Naruto movies in order. And we even told you when to watch them, and where you can watch them as well. I hope, you enjoy all of these movies to the fullest.

But if you ask me, I personally enjoyed Road to ninja movie the most. This movie gives you an idea of the family that Naruto never had. To see grown-up Naruto, Minato, and Kushina altogether is a treat for the Naruto fans.

So, if you want to watch just one movie from this list, do watch Road to ninja.
